Three fresh methods for travel planning and booking via Search

Integrated Flight Price Tracking

Google has embedded its popular Google Flights price‑tracking capability directly into AI Mode, allowing users to set alerts while staying in the chat.

Users simply describe their desired origin, destination, and dates, and AI Mode returns the latest fares from more than 300 airline and travel‑site partners.

If a traveler wishes to monitor price changes, they can say “track these flight prices for me,” after which a confirmation triggers email notifications whenever the fare shifts.

The email alerts arrive with the updated price for the exact itinerary, enabling users to act quickly on emerging deals.

This flight‑price tracking feature is now live in over 180 countries and territories, expanding its reach far beyond the United States.

When the user decides to purchase, AI Mode can assemble a full itinerary and redirect them to the airline’s website or their preferred booking platform for final purchase.

Points and Miles Cost Visibility

AI Mode now displays the cost of flights and hotels in loyalty points or miles, helping travelers leverage their rewards more effectively.

A user can ask, “I want to travel from Atlanta to Miami using my AA miles. Help me find some options for nonstop flights departing Oct 9 and returning on Oct 12,” and AI Mode will immediately show the required miles based on up‑to‑date partner data.

The same approach works for hotels; travelers specify location, dates, and the rewards program, and AI Mode returns the points cost alongside standard pricing.

Initial airline partners supporting this capability include Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, American Airlines, and LATAM Airlines, while hotel partners start with Choice Hotels International, Hilton, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

Google has announced that Accor, Flying Blue, Hyatt, and the Lufthansa Group will be added in the coming weeks, further broadening the rewards ecosystem.

Both the points‑and‑miles view and the flight‑price tracking are globally available, giving users worldwide the same data consistency.

Seamless Hotel Booking

Google now lets users discover and reserve hotels within a single AI Mode conversation, presenting a visual list of options with guest reviews and key comparison factors.

After selecting a preferred property, the user can ask AI Mode to continue the booking, which displays a “Continue on Google” button beside integrated partners.

From that point, a few taps allow the traveler to choose a room type, review cancellation policies, and finalize payment securely through Google Pay.

The hotel or the booking platform remains the merchant of record, handling any post‑booking customer service directly.

Hotel booking via AI Mode has begun rolling out in the United States in English, with a rollout plan that will extend to additional markets in the coming weeks.

Partner hotels and travel sites currently include Booking.com, Choice Hotels International, Expedia, Hilton, Hotels.com, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International, Priceline, and others.

Why This Matters: Google’s AI Mode upgrades now let users track flight prices, compare rewards rates, and book hotels directly in Search, expanding travel planning convenience worldwide.
